Review
Flash Stream Hunter is an Internet video downloader. According to what I saw during the installation, it uses WinPcap as a capture driver. WinPcap is an open-source tool that can capture network traffic in your network. It is often used in traffic sniffers. Using WinPcap as a driver makes lots of sense, since it doesn't limit users to using a specific web browser and the developer doesn't have to make a different application for each video portal.
When you run Flash Stream Hunter, it will sit on the background and detect when you are watching video on a website and start downloading that video. You then have to leave the window open until the video downloading finishes, because the moment you close it, Flash Stream Hunter will stop detecting those packets that make up the video transfer. After that, you can simply save the captured packets into a video file.
When I first launched this app, it didn't work right away. I had to reboot my system for it to start working. But after a few videos were captured, the application stopped capturing new ones. This might only be a trial limitation. Closing the application and re-launching it solved the issue temporarily. |
- It works OK.
- It supports most video sites.
|
- It might be a trial limitation, but the app stops working after a few downloads.
